Vegetarian roastie brioche

Welcome to our new Autumn menu

Our New Autumn Menu has everything you need to celebrate  #Vegetarianawarenessmonth…

1st October was World Vegetarian Day and if you’re choosing to take up the challenge to eat vegetarian or vegan for the month, look no further.

Kick-off the day with a heart-warming bowl of porridge made with your choice of milk and topped with our home-made caramelised apple or berry compote or dive into our best ever Luxury Classic Dairy Bircher - overnight organic oats with Greek-style yoghurt, honey and fresh apple, with a homemade caramelised apple base and crowned with pecans.

Our new Veggie Roastie Brioche showcases our delicious home-baked nut roast and our seasonal SOHO Winter ‘Slaw. Fresh and colourful, our ‘Slaw is tossed in a gorgeous dressing of mayo, sour cream, lemon juice & white wine vinegar. Delicious with our homemade caramelised apple sauce.

New sourdough toasties

And, don’t forget our range of totally organic and vegan soups, all with homemade sourdough croutons. You won’t regret pairing with our vegan Nut Roast Wrap or perhaps one of our new range of Toasties, made with our special slow-fermented sourdough bread and toasted to a T.

If you’re going veggie, choose The Big Cheese, smoked Applewood®, Jarlsberg® & Mature Cheddar Cheese with crispy onions. If you’re feeling the need to punctuate the month with something less plant-based, you couldn’t do better than the Ultimate Ham & Cheese or Smokin’ Rooster. Of course, this will need to follow this season’s must-have, our magnificent American All Butter pancakes topped with crispy bacon, fried egg and 100% maple syrup – this’ll hit the spot!

World Vegan Day

You’ll have to pace yourself, though. As the month culminates in World Vegan Day on 1st November, what more indulgent way to celebrate than with our delicious vegan Lime, Orange & Thyme cake, topped with a crunchy pumpkin seed brittle, accompanied by our vegan Black Forest Hot Chocolate; our usual organic hot chocolate with cherry syrup & almond milk, topped with our new vegan whipped cream, cherry sauce & dark chocolate shavings. Who said going vegan means missing out ????

SOHO Coffee Co loyalty app screen shown on a mobile phone

SOHO Launches Loyalty App!

Independent artisan coffee chain, SOHO Coffee Co., has partnered with Yoyo, Europe’s fastest growing mobile payment and loyalty marketing platform, to build and power a new payments and loyalty app experience for its customers.

SOHO Coffee Co., which opened its first store in Cheltenham 20 years ago this year and now has a global presence, is famous for its signature Organic, Fairtrade and Rain Forest Alliance Certified coffee and freshly prepared handmade food.

The brand has gone from strength to strength, with a doubling of its independent sites in the last 2 years combined with a growing loyal customer base who are increasingly purchasing food alongside their daily caffeine fix. The brand’s strategy to offer a points-based app experience rewards loyal customers with a point for every penny spent in store, across food and drink. Unlike many of their competitors, SOHO has chosen not to split out their signature blend in a separate digital coffee loyalty stamp card. Instead, customers can redeem points exactly as they choose, across a full range of food and drink and will still benefit from SOHO being one of the best coffee loyalty offerings on the high street, receiving the equivalent of their seventh coffee free.

Customers will be able to pay, earn & redeem points all in one scan and as Managing Director, Penny Manuel, comments, “The launch of the SOHO app enhances our data-led loyalty programme, which places customer experience at the heart of everything we do. SOHO prides itself on the highest quality, freshly prepared food and drink, made to order. The introduction of the app allows us to concentrate on delivering good food quickly and more importantly delivers the high levels of speed & service our customers expect”. In keeping with SOHO’s ethos of handmade & freshly made to order, the brand confirms that there are no plans to introduce ‘click & collect’ pre-ordering, as it ‘compromises quality’.

To celebrate the launch the brand is giving their customers a head-start, gifting them their first 100 points. “Having thought long and hard about how we can best reward our loyal customers, we believe our new in-app points rewards scheme fulfils this simply and conveniently. Being able to connect with customers and generate tailor-made, relevant benefits is a win-win for everyone and will strengthen long term relationships with our valued customers. Given their sector experience, we felt Yoyo were the right partner for this project”.

The launch of the branded app further enhances SOHO’s instore free Wi-Fi and overall digital strategy. Available to download for iOS and Android users from Monday 28th January, the new fully branded Yoyo-powered app will be rolled out to all SOHO Coffee-owned stores in the UK, providing customers with secure, straight-through mobile payment, automated loyalty points, SOHO product rewards, and fully itemised digital receipts - all in a single moment at the point-of-sale.

Michael Rolph, co-founder and CEO at Yoyo, said: “We’re delighted to be working with SOHO Coffee Co., which is leading the charge among high street brands to truly transform the in-store experience - utilising purchasing behaviour to instantly and personally reward all of their valued customers. It is this strategy that adds real value to the customer experience, drives in-store footfall and, crucially, increases CLV.”

SOHO brings new menu to Clifton Triangle

The independent artisan coffee chain, SOHO Coffee Co. is proud to be opening its new store on Queen’s Road this Saturday, showcasing its new Autumn range of customised hot food. The store on Clifton Triangle, situated at the top of Park Street, caters for a busy student quarter of the city and celebrates the original SOHO Hot Sandwich – SO HOt.

The brand has wasted no time in building on its success at Bedford Street, Covent Garden, where less than 2 months ago, it launched its extended, customised hot food range. SOHO are replicating this recipe for success in Clifton, confident that it offers students and locals a fresh and original experience in a warm and welcoming environment.

SOHO, the only coffee brand to be partnered with UNiDAYS, has focussed on creating a welcoming chill out zone for its customer-base. As such, they actively invite customers to graffiti a designated space and have offered a wall for design by local students. “We want the students to make this their own. They can be far from home and feeling lonely and we have designed the new store with a ‘Student SOHO Social’ in mind with a sharing ethos”.

With this age group instrumental in the growing collective consciousness to reduce meat and increase plant-based foods, SOHO’s new menu is indicative of its continuing commitment to vegans & vegetarians as much as to meat-lovers.

This Autumn sees the launch across the entire SOHO estate of The Hog Roast with all the trimmings, accompanied by House apple sauce, sage & onion stuffing and crispy crackling. Also part of the new hot sandwich range is the deliciously Sticky BBQ Chicken with Homemade ‘Slaw.

Balancing SOHO’s carnivorous treats is a large range of vegetarian and vegan options.

Vegans visiting the new format Clifton store can delight in a hot Pea & Mint Falafel sandwich served with SOHO’s own pickled red cabbage, crowned with a coconut yoghurt & mint dressing in addition to a range of 5 organic and vegan soups. Breakfast offerings include an Avocado & Mushroom Sandwich, SOHO’s own vegan Cashew Granola served with hot milk or with homemade, no added sugar, stewed fruits. The range of new vegan bircher pots allows customers to remain true to their values even in a hurry. Flavours include Passion Fruit & Mango and Orange & Date with Almond Chia.

With an equally extended range of milks for customers to choose from now including oat, SOHO is very excited to be able to let their customers be the masters of their own taste combinations. And, with more store openings on the horizon, the brand is going from strength to strength.

Neon heart on the wall at the SOHO Coffee Co Clifton store

SOHO’s on a roll!

The independent artisan coffee chain, SOHO Coffee Co. is proud to be opening its new store on Bedford Street this Friday, showcasing its brand new extended customised hot food range. The store in Covent Garden, catering for a busy and eclectic customer base, celebrates the original hot SOHO sandwich to go – SO HOt.

Building on the brand’s success with customised hot breakfasts, SOHO takes customisation a step further at Bedford Street, where customers can mix and match breads, fillings and sauces to create their own breakfast and lunch options. With something for vegans, vegetarians and meat-lovers alike SOHO’s sandwich fillings cover all dayparts. Amongst others, breakfast offerings include avocado & mushroom (vg) and halloumi & sunblush tomato (v) on a choice of white, multigrain baguette or brioche roll, alongside SOHO’s ever popular bacon and sausage breakfast sandwiches.

SOHO launches its Hog Roast with all the trimmings at lunch time, accompanied by House apple sauce, sage & onion stuffing and crispy crackling. For a taste of New York, SOHO’s pastrami, swiss cheese, gherkins & American mustard fits the bill and the deliciously Sticky BBQ Chicken with Homemade ‘Slaw is also a winner. For vegetarian customers, Halloumi & Marinated Aubergine is topped with fresh baby spinach and a sweet chilli sauce, whilst vegans can delight in Pea & Mint Falafel, served with SOHO’s own pickled red cabbage, crowned with a yoghurt & mint dressing.

Posh Sausage Rolls and Berry Compote give diners added opportunity to sample the delights from SOHO’s own kitchen. With an eye for detail, the Bedford Street store is also trialling a range of kombucha, reinforcing SOHO’s credibility as a fifth wave artisan brand.

Managing Director, Penny Manuel, is confident the new range will hit the spot with Covent Gardeners. “We’re really excited to be able to offer our customers the choice we know they want. Our core belief is that eating on-the-go shouldn’t mean compromising on quality or choice. For those that don’t have the time to stop and relax we have the perfect ‘big eat’, made just the way you like it. Listening to customers is paramount for success – we’re quietly confident that our extended range will hit the spot. But you know what they say, the proof is in the pudding!”
