Policy Statement

Our approach is simple. We believe business should be a force for good and being socially responsible we are fully supportive of the UK Modern Slavery Act and the transparency it encourages.

SOHO Coffee Co. is opposed to all forms of human trafficking and slavery and takes all necessary steps to ensure the promotion of sound, moral and ethical practices throughout the whole of its business.

We recognise we are on a journey; that Modern Slavery is a complex issue which requires our constant review. We are learning and are on a path of continuous improvement as our understanding grows.

Supply Chain

Ethical sourcing, environmental responsibility and traceability are key components for our partners.

Right now, we are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking within our supply chain. We require our supply chain partners adhere to the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Team

We set out to achieve a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking through the provision of training to our team.

Our ‘team working recipe’ is to be inclusive and to embrace and celebrate everyone’s differences. We wholeheartedly believe in creating a happy, honest and inspiring working environment providing everyone with the opportunity to contribute, make a difference and be themselves.

Our Equal Opportunities Policy is the cornerstone of our Recruitment, Selection and Development programmes. We embrace the diversity recruiting different nationalities affords our business, recognising the personality and interest that team from multi-cultural backgrounds brings to SOHO.

All team undergo comprehensive rights to work checks before beginning their employment with SOHO. They are required through their Particulars of Employment, to sign and commit to contributing to a positive working environment.

Their working life is underpinned by SOHO’s approach to Dignity at Work, Health and Wellbeing and Safeguarding of Adults. We encourage open, yet safe, dialogue between all levels of team. Our directors operate an open-door approach where all team are encouraged to speak openly and honestly.

This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors of SOHO Coffee Co., together with all its parent and subsidiary undertakings from time to time and is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. This constitutes SOHO Coffee Co.’s Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement.
